Welcome to the 1^st and 2^nd grade classroom at ZCMS.   Jan Yzenbaard and Kathy Bosscher share the teaching responsibility of the first and second graders.  Percilla Chimoni is our educational assistant.  We have worked together since the 2000-2001 school year.

Our seven first graders and nine second graders make a great team.  All but two of the children started their formal education at ZCMS in kindergarten.  First and second graders are excited by the challenge of learning to read.  Our individualized reading program gives kids the opportunity to read aloud to Mrs. Yzenbaard every day.  Every night, they practice reading with their parents.
